Half of Chicago voters would elect college board members in 2024 underneath new proposal


Roughly half of Chicago voters would get to elect college board members in 2024 and the opposite half would vote in 2026, in accordance with new language proposed by state lawmakers late Friday. 

Earlier this week, legislators launched a brand new draft map that divides town into 20 districts. Every district has roughly 137,000 individuals in it.
