TUGUEGARAO CITY—A magnitude 5.1 earthquake rattled Dalupiri island in Calayan, Cagayan Wednesday afternoon, in line with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs stated the earthquake, which was recorded at 2:19 p.m., was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 9 kilometers.
It was felt at depth IV in Calayan and depth II in Pasuquin and the Metropolis of Laoag in Ilocos Norte.
Instrumental intensities have been additionally recorded in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte; Candon, Ilocos Sur, and Aparri, Cagayan (Depth 2), and Peñablanca and Gonzaga in Cagayan and Metropolis of Laoag (Depth 1).
No harm to property or infrastructure have been reported.
